C+A Design have completed a number of projects across the MOD estate, including a fuel filling refurbishment given by the Ministry of Defence at Colchester Garrison. These requirements were different to those of most clients, as they needed the usual diesel and AdBlue facilities, as well as allowing vehicles up to the size of a main battle tank to pass through and be served. We provided architectural, specialist petroleum design and inspection services to the Ministry of Defence, taking it from its earliest stages through tender and onwards to completion. The scope of works included new tanks, pipework and pumps with addition of AdBlue facilities, alongside a general refresh of the site. The facility also had to remain in operation throughout the refurbishment, and this was accomplished through careful phasing.
