This latest development solidifies his position, with Andy stepping down as a Director and transitioning into a consultancy role.
Adam Slade, Managing Director said:
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Andy for his many years of dedication, hard work, and invaluable contributions as Managing Director, owner, and director. His vision and commitment have been instrumental in establishing C&A Design as a trusted name in the industry. This isn’t goodbye from Andy; it’s a strategic move that allows him to continue supporting the business and sharing his expertise as we enter a new phase.
Andy Clifton’s career is marked by numerous accomplishments, including a remarkable 30-year collaboration with ASDA. Over these decades, he played a pivotal role in the design and rollout of ASDA’s petrol filling stations, overseeing projects across the UK. He was instrumental in developing fully automated petrol filling stations for ASDA, a significant innovation that streamlined operations and improved safety standards in the sector.
Before founding C&A Design, Andy began his career at Mitchell Proctor + Associates and went on to work with renowned firms, including HLM Architects. While his career has predominantly focused on petroleum and retail, Andy also served as Design Lead for the award-winning mixed-use development at Commerce Square in Nottingham, transforming historic Lace Market buildings.
