This luxurious house on the outskirts of Sheffield was designed in a modernist style with expansive windows to maximise the views into the surrounding garden space. Built from structurally insulated panels and designed with a sophisticated ventilation system incorporating heat recovery the resulting scheme was a very energy efficient and sustainable house that didn’t compromise on style.
The house was designed with three floors; basement, ground and first. The large entrance hall had a cantilevered stair rising through the double height space with an area of frosted glass incorporated into the floor to draw natural light into the basement. At the rear of the house the upper floor was cantilevered beyond the ground floor which allowed for large bedrooms and created a memorable impression. Features such as the basement cinema and a master suite with a walk in dressing room completed the feeling of luxury.
